Spiritual Care

Spiritual enrichment services rooted in the dignity of human life

Why Spiritual Care is Important

Respecting human life in Minnesota

‘Jesus’ healing mission went further than caring only for physical affliction. He touched people at the deepest level of their existence; he sought their physical, mental, and spiritual healing (Jn 6:35, 11:25-27). He ‘came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly.’ (Jn 10:10)

As a not-for-profit faith-based healthcare organization serving communities across Minnesota, our approach is wholly unique in that we remain just as concerned about residents’ spiritual enrichment as their physical health and wellbeing.

To adequately provide for Spiritual Care, St. Francis delivers pastoral services from all denominations to provide residents and their families with compassionate, faith-based guidance and care during some of the most profoundly challenging moments of their lives, whether they are facing a health crisis, chronic illness, loss of body or cognitive functions, impending death, or the dying process.

Our Spiritual Care providers may be called upon to take on topics like:

  • Meaning and purpose of life
  • Faith and religious practices
  • Grief and Loss
  • Forgiveness and reconciliation
  • Hope and Resilience
  • End-of-life concerns
  • Emotional well-being
  • Support for family and loved ones

Whether it’s resolving relationship, reflecting on life’s purpose, or simply seeking peace, St. Francis provide Spiritual Care that helps residents find meaning, comfort, and connection in their later years.
